Laura Ingram-Booras - Voice, Piano
Laura Booras is a native of Birmingham, Al, but now calls New Orleans home.
Laura is a voice instructor at Tulane University. She has also taught piano at Louise McGehee school and been the director of the University of Montevallo Community Music School.

Laura has been an active performer with the New Orleans Opera, Touro Synagogue, and Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane.
Some of her other performance credits are as follows: The 9th Ward Opera as Geraldine in A Hand of Bridge, and Helga in Gisela in her Bathtub, two world premieres with the New Fangled Opera as Holly in Rapture and the Customer in The Box Office and in their 48 hour opera project. Her other roles include Mrs. Ott in Susannah, the soprano and mezzo-soprano in “What’s so grand about opera?”, Micaela in Carmen; Nuria in Ainadamar, and various roles in opera scenes.
Laura has also appeared as part of New Orleans Opera’s Opera on Tap, Trinity Episcopal Church Artist Series, Lidal North, Sherrill Milnes’ VOICExperience, NOVA, Alabama Operaworks, Opera Birmingham Chorus, LSU Opera, Loveland Opera Theatre, Harrower Opera, CentreStage Theatre, and Montevallo Mainstage. She also sang the Missa Brevis by Zoltán Kodály in collaboration with the José Limón Dance Company’s 70th Anniversary.
Some of her musical theatre roles include Mrs. Segstrom and Mrs. Anderssen in A Little Night Music; Antonia in Man of La Mancha; Marion Paroo in Music Man; Rosie in Cabaret.
She is a graduate of LSU with an M.M. in vocal performance and the University of Montevallo with a B.A. in Music and Art.
