Dena Borman - Voice - Piano
Dena is a long-time music educator, piano scholar, and performing vocalist. After obtaining a bachelors degree from the Indiana University School of Music, she taught high school choir in Chicago and held the position of alto section leader in the renowned Chicago Chamber Choir. She also performed with the Marion Consort, Music Box Theater, and was a soloist at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church. In New Orleans, Dena has performed at the French Quarter Festival, and she is a soloist at Trinity Episcopal Church, where she has also participated in the Trinity Artist Series and Bastille Day Celebration.
Dena has over eleven years of experience working with piano and voice students of all ages and ability levels. In particular, she specializes in developing beginning-level singers by focusing on breath, posture and aural skills as well as cultivation of vocal quality. If you think you "can't sing," Dena looks forward to proving you wrong!
